AQHA are very tight on their regulations nowadays and I am having trouble understanding how an Appaloosa cross could possibly be registered with the Quarter Horse Association?

He is a pretty guy - what bloodlines does he have?

dad is 15.2hh mum is 13hh breeder said 14hh+, i say more like 15hh as he is about 13.1/13.2hh now

his dad is rowden jack, grandsire is jack the zipper

From Two-eyed Jack and Zippo Pine Bar I guess. Nice lines, I have a few AQHA's with those bloodlines and they are pretty amazing and versatile horses. Mine are all purebred AQHA's and registered as such - that is the only thing I can't understand - how can a crossbreed be registered as a purebred AQHA or is it different in the UK?

umm i wouldn't think he'll make more than 14.2 then, which is good news for you. He could grow bigger, but i doubt it, so make sure you put that in the advert- to make 14.2.

he is fairly big built, my other youngster was alot smaller at 15 months & made 14.2hh so we are not sure

13hh is very small for an appaloosa - I thought they had to be over 14.2 to be registered otherwise they were spotted ponies (although I am probably VERY out of date with this!)
