I have an option to loan a yard in private grounds
3 acres of grazing
manage
tack room
5 horses (stables)
water electric

how much would you say it was worth monthly?

they havnt given me a price they want me to tell them first.. so I thought id get others advise as Il be renting the other stables off diy.. so

Not sure how much its worth, 3 acres isnt a lot for bigger horses though (divided between 5). you could look on the equestrian property to rent pages??

ive had a look around but most dont state prices unless you phone up... yea i usually put an acre per horse for my own livery.. :s .. thanks for your reply though

There's a formula for working out how much land you need - can never remember the details but it's something like 2.5 acres for the first horse then 1 additional acre for every extra horse. So I think you'd be struggling to rotate, rest fields if you wanted decent grazing.

I would be happy to pay about £250 per month for this but wouldn't really want more than 3 on it, ideally only two though. It would also depend on the hacking

not sure where you are but around here it would be £15-20/week/stable depending on hacking, location etc.

I have been looking for a small yard for some time, and im in herts and would be looking at around £400 a month round here.
