How much do you think is reasonable for me to ask (per week) for someone to share my horse while I'm at uni?

Horse - 15hh, will be 10 years old when I go, coloured cob gelding. Lovely genuine gentleman. Hacks out, schools, jumps. Confidence giver and fun ride.

Situation - full livery on very small yard (2 other liveries), as much riding as they want during the week and most weekends. I'll want to ride during the holidays though, plenty of notice given and they won't have to pay when they don't ride. Proper contract and agreement drawn up. Menage (floodlit) with full set of showjumps. Yard directly on bridleway, plenty of hacking. Transport can be arranged with my friend who has a trailer. Can compete whenever they want.

Phew! Anyway, I was thinking of asking £30 a week? How does that sound? I will be advertising after Christmas.

Any tips/advice also appreciated!

£30 a week sounds really reasonable - definitely don't ask less. I am sure you will have loads of people wanting to share your boy - he sounds lovely

Definitely for a confidence giver, if thats all they're paying.

It sounds a great opportunity for someone. Do be careful you don't get a total novice person who could spoil him for you.
