One of my friends have asked me to muck out her horses for 2 weeks while she is away. She said she would pay me by the hour.

It would only be 2 stables and would not take me any more than an hour to do. Me being me said i would not want paying but she has insisted. asked what i would want an hour but i just dont know and also with her being a friend.

It would take me 15 to 20 mins to get there.

The minimum wage for workers aged 22 years and older is £5.73 per hour. So that's a good starting point. Also work out how much in petrol it's going to cost you and factor that in. And there are your costs.

Or you could say you don't want anything for the 2 weeks, but could she do yours for 2 weeks when you are away by return of the favour?
(I always do this in the holidays with other peoples kids while they're at work, house is always full. Then when I need the favour returned after school in term time when I have a meeting I won't get back in time I hardly have to ask as people are always inviting my daughter over)

I get £7 an hour on the yard if that helps.

For a friend I would defintinely do it out of the kindness of my heart with a hope she would be a good friend to me and return the favour.
