You could be right! They just often turn out to be really genuine horses, these coloured cobs, so usually worth it, and sell for lots when they've done more!
Don't want to drag this off topic, but it does seem that a lot of people overprice horses here (Ireland). I wonder is it just a symptom of generally our ridiculously high cost of living here? A lot of the horses I saw on my search were up to twice the price of what seemed 'equivalent' in the UK. But also bear in mind that I think people are much more inclined to haggle here so prices are normally set a good bit higher than people actually expect to get for them... so if anyone fancies a buying trip over here, don't be put off!
