Ok, this isnt for me, its for my otherhalfs mum who isnt very horsey & totally out of touch with horse prices. She has decided to sell her coloured gelding, as some of you may remember he was out on loan with our little cob who was starved. Shes given it some thought & hasnt come to the decision lightly, she only loaned him out due to an impending knee operation, which shes now had & it hasnt been as straight forward as hoped & has ended up with her leg being broken & pinned in 2 places. So the chances of her riding anytime soon are slim to none. The ideal solution would have been a long term loan till she was right, but for obvious reasons she wont risk it again, so has made the sad decision to sell. Ive got a price in my mind which i think is fair, but i thought id ask for a 2nd as its not really fair to her just to base it what i think is right, we dont want to price him to cheap to he ends up in a "buy it bring it on & flog it home" but we also dont want to over price him. If all that makes sense?
So hes a 15hh (possibly a bit bigger?) 4yr old coloured cob gelding, hes broken & hacking out quietly, obviously green so not suitable for a novice rider, hes good to box, with traffic, with the farrier & to clip. He can be a little tempermental to catch, though he wasnt any problem to catch until he went on loan & has been a little funny since hes come back, but we are working on this.
