just curious - but those of you who compete more than once a week do you have full time jobs aswell and how on earth do you afford all the running costs/entry fees etc??!!

I work every day but different hours each day, so i can fit in competing around that. We've plenty of choice with Royal leisure running 2 BSJA shows a week, plus dressage at various venues.
How do i afford it...with great difficulty, i barly have enough money to do it all, but its what i want to do so i make it work x
as i am away at uni, i only get to compete when i am home btu when i am home will compete every week. mum will pay for entry fees. over the summer i need to keep it varied as otherwise she goes a bit stale! we do better the less we compete which is annoying but hey thats life. next summer we will be affliated to paying lots of visits to addington and patchetts as will avoidin the grass due to her navicualr and bone spavin!
About twice a month, sometimes more sometimes less. We're very lucky that we're only 5 mins from Golden Cross and 20 mins from Crockstead, so do alot of BSJA there, but anywhere else is 45 mins plus.
