we have to hire an arena to school due to the wet weather and no facilities at home and daughter generally competes every other week, dressage or s/j but as training and shows are restarting im going to look at which ones to do mainly because of the cost. She does pony club training which is great value for money but entry fees are £10 -£15 a class. just wondered how often you all compete especially in this current financial climate.

I usually compete on average twice a month. I like competeing but not into it that much that I travel the country! (used too!!) One comp centre is 10 mins from our door and I compete there mostly, the other one I usually go to is about 40 mins away. I am lucky as I have a school so no extra cost there x

I'd say I compete about once a month maybe a bit more towards the summer. But we tend to be out and about almost once a week either going to lessons, rallies, arena/ xc hire or boxing up to go on a hack.

I think its good for horses to see a lot of different surroundings or they get bored.

I try to get out at least twice a month to things - this could be competitions, riding club, outside lessons, boxing for a hack, fun rides.

My horse loves going out and always perks her ears when she sees the trailer. I like to vary her work and it keeps her nice and fresh :)
