I used to ride about 3 times a week when I shared Ellie but since ending that I only ride once a week now. Once Bella is old enough to be back and going well I shall up it to about 3-4 times a week again
I usually ride six days a week - try and have a day off to keep hubby happy (non-horse day!). Just getting back into it after my six weeks off. Next seven days is going to be interesting as going away for a couple of nights - off to ride in a moment and then will ride on Monday when we get back; starting a new contract on Tuesday - have been working out timings so's can still ride every day! Will have to get up at half past five!

I ride as and when. Sometimes I don't ride for 3 weeks, sometimes I ride 3 times a week.
My horses live out 24/7 on a 5 acre slope so they keep themselves ticking over enough to carry me on a ride when I feel like it.
I work with horses and have my own so i ride 3 or 4 nearly every day! My pony needs alot of riding as we do endurance rides of up to and inclu 80 km. I also own half a section A who i am breaking in and i am breaking in a darty at work. There are also several others to exercise to. So i ride lots whatever the weather.

I am an endurance rider (up to and including 160km ERs). When training, I usually ride 4 or 5 times a week. I am a big believer in rest days after hard exercise and my pony is turned out 24/7 so walks off any stiffness.
She usually gets a day off for ever 10 miles completed in a competition and at least a fortnight for 160k.
A
I work with horses, so ride every day, my own horses always get the day off after an event.
The number I ride is low atm 2/3 but last year was upto about 10 a day
My girl gets worked about 3 times a week - try to do a hack, school & lunge alternately to keep her fit and trim and laminitis at bay - hoping to do some shows with her next year so will have to start doing a bit more. She is quite happy to do nothing and is no probelm to get back on after any length of time off!!
My boy gets worked about 5/6 days a week (bit of variation due to work) and has one lesson a week and then we try and alternate hacking and schooling/jumping to stop the duffus getting bored - but he needs to work or he gets naughty
!! Is quite happy to do nothing but his work ethic is quick to disappear!!
Both of them do however have whole weeks off occaisionally due to work commitiments - but no work no neds!!
I am a competiton rider. Each horse has is an individual and therefore has a different training programme. Every horse is worked every day, but not necessarily ridden. Most of the horses are ridden 5/6 times a week. The other days are either lunging or just on the horse walker. After a competition, they don't usually have a day off, they just have an easy day, i.e. A little hack just walking round the tracks or on the horsewalker and then turned out for the day. I find this better than giving them the day off as it ensures they dont stiffen up.
I don't have my own horse, but help look after 4 horses for their very busy owners! 2 are in work, on average I would say we try to ride 4 times a week, sometimes more, sometimes less- we haven't ridden in 2 1/2 weeks because the weather has been so bad
"Those who mainly hack, with the odd competition/riding club activity etc"
3/4 times a week.
I compete every other Sunday, and go on a long hack on the Sunday I'm not competing, so pony has Monday off. Then hack probably twice a week and school/work hard once a week if the ground permits. Trot quite a bit on hacks to help keep pony fit
I ride Ed 5 times a week at very least, because of his nature and his personality, he enjoys fast work and jumping, so I tend to do 1 day schooling, 2 days slow hack 2 days fast hack. On the 6th day I'll either be competing or jumping, unless I decide he has 2 days off a week.
I ride for 6 days a week upto 2 and half hours a day- i have 3 horses - 2 in full work and 1 semi retired. They all get a day off a week which is usually a Monday- when I have a lie in (well get to the yard at 6.15 rather than 5 and boy do i get told off).
I ride my first in a morning at 6am and lunge or long rein or free school the oldie at 6.45 ish. I have to be away from the yard by 7.20 and aim to get at least 1 bed mucked out and all my waters done - i also turn mine out and usually fed the yard of approx 30 horses. I will then hack out or ride the 2nd "full time" horse on the night. On a Sunday they all get hacked out, unless I am competing.
I miss going any longer than a day off riding but struggle in the winter as I hate it when the mornings are dark as it is soooooooo hard to get going when its cold, wet and dark and the warm bed is calling you
i try to ride taz at least 5 days out of the week he gets a sunday off and another day off so i can catch up on some things and spend time with friends etc lol
