6 days a week for both of them. Generally one of those days includes either competing or training for Archie. Bloss is on light work now, however she still gets 6days a week of work to keep her slimline
Five or six days for me - usually twice in the school, once or twice in the field, one lunge, and a hack at weekends. As it is the summer holidays one of the kids has been hacking him and going in the field so he has been doing 6 or 7 days....
One day off a week, tho in the week leading up to a show (normally compete once or twice a month). lUnge every morning and ride every night. Just to keep her switched on and paying attention!
I have a lesson on thursay and like to take him to the school on monday or tuesday (dont have a school on site but only round the corner)
Then usually 1-2hr hack 3-4days a week. Live in rivington so it great for hacking and lots of variety so me and neddy dont get bored
so schooled twice a week then hacked 3-4 times
he usually get sunday off as i work at a local riding school and have and 1hrs lesson on there horses so can never be bothered to ride again so mine just gets a quick pamper and feed then back in the field.
hes out 24/7 in a huge field which is on a massive hill so that keeps him pretty fit too
3 or 4 times a week - schooling twice, hacking twice, (and maybe a lunge once a week) so thats 5 times! i try to ride 5 times a week but i have two jobs now so its hard, and at the moment im not training for anything in particular, i just want him to be attentive to my aids and supple
I do something with Rocks every day - he has a day off approx every 9th day, or after a strenuous event eg: gallop work, competition or a hard lesson with trainer.
Ride or lunge bothe 5 time a week. Drive as a pair once a week and Pip is usualy drive once as a single. Out of season he doesn't get so much but in the season he needs it to keep fit and the 24 hour turnout and variety keeps him sane!
5-8 times a week at the moment, depending if she gets ridden twice a day as its the holis, but during term time usually 5-6 times a week. But then will go down to 2-3 times a week in winter
Try to work him 6 times a week, he ALWAYS has monday off, and occasionally another in the week but I try to work him 6 times where possible. Normally has one session in the school, possibly one lunging and then normally once in a lesson/comp out! Hardly ever jump him at home.
Meg gets worked nearly every day, but it is more dependent on weather than a routine or training schedule. I normally do 4 schooling sessions (flat and jumping) during the week and 1 short hack out (less than an hour) then go for long hacks or compete at the weekend. I sometimes do 2 sessions with her at the weekend - hack in the morning, and lunge/school in the evening. I think I'm cruel to her
Im about to start a share 3 days a week, so will ride on those days. I dont know if the owners will ride him aswell, i would of thought so as Im not doing weekends!
Five or six days a week usually. She's had the last three days off though as the weather has been so bad and don't have an indoor school atm.
Was about to get back on her ten minutes ago but just as I went to catch her she found the muddiest spot and rolled, lots. Now have to wait for the mud to dry so can brush it off and ride. Got to laugh
Normally 5/6 days per week - no less unless I'm dying!!
I have to keep his routine really varied otherwise he switches off! So i try not too school too much or he goes stale so only once or twice intensive schooling and one of those will usually be a lesson. I do most of my schooling out and about so will hack once or twice (one of those will always be a blast to clear his head), lunge once and do jumping or XC once.
Mine do some kind of work every day to keep them fit and supple. I usually ride five or six times a week (including training and competition) and then lunge the other days.
Usually four times, but try and aim for five. We are happy hackers mainly. Also school of course but probably not as much as i should.
OH is the more competative one, and if there are shows etc, it is him that takes him.
I love to watch and see my two favourite men, having fun!!
Maybe when my confidence is 100% again, we will share the competing
I voted 5 or 6, but sometimes that stretches to no days off for say 10 days in the height of spring/summer (particularly the lami season when I try to give her as much work as possible) and can drop to 4 days a week in the middle of winter if the weather is foul. Combination of hacking/schooling/lunging, some competitions and the odd foray into jumping!
