How often do you sharpen your clipper blades?

As title really, this year I have done 2 apron clips (on the same 14hh NF), one blanket clip (16.2hh tb) and one full (15hh tb).

Its my first year of clipper owning and not borrowing!

A dog groomer who clips her horses says once a season is fine.
My YO sharpens hers every time it's been used.

Mine did two extended blankets and a lower trace plus legs and on thick hairy coats

i used to have them sharpened every 4-6 months but i would full clip a show cob every month!

After they have done a couple of clips but I don't send them off ever year as I have plenty of spare ones, so they all get sharpened at the same time, cheaper that way.

Same here Well at least when they are not clipping as well as I would like them to.
