Only when I want them to look pretty, doesnt make any differnce to his feet if they are oiled or not, I used to oil them all the time, now I dont, no difference, hooves in much better condition, but I think that is because of the biotin suppliment which he's been on for about 8 months.

Ooh sorry to butt in but Kenzo, which biotin supplement would you recommend?
I want to put Bri on something to help improve his hooves conditions?
Thanks in advance
I very rarely oil my horses' feet don't really see the point, they have good feet and i think some hoof oils just dry the feet out. However the full livery yard where I work insists that we oil all the horses' feet every day, not with special hoof dressing just black oil, to make them look shiney I guess? Don't really see the point but I do it anyway. Does anyone think too much oiling can be bad for feet/ they become dependent on it?
Tried to PM you but it wont work...anyway errm not sure without looking, think it was one that my local tack shop bags up, its just plain biotin, having said that NAFF rings a bell, so it might of been made my Naff, if I'd seen your post earlier I'd off looked this evening, I'll look tomorrow and let you know in the Stable section.
I know Dengie do a feet and coat suppliment which also contains biotin (think it does) but dont quote me on it, I'll have a look as he's now on this.
