I'm really missing riding! I have a rising 4, a rising 3 and a rising 2 horse. The rising 4 was broken last year, just the basic walk, trot and a couple of very unbalanced canters in the menage. He was turned away in September up until now and now I'm thinking about bringing him slowly back in to work. However, with having no facilities at the yard whatsoever and working full time - it leaves me with just the weekends to do things with him.

Has anyone backed a horse/brought a horse back in to work and only worked them once/twice a week? Is this enough? I know some youngsters need to be worked everyday so unsure if this is going to be ok.

My riding 4yr old gets worked 3 times a week at the mo. He hacks on sundays, lesson on tuesdays and either hack/play in school on sat.
In summer he may get ridden on thursdays to but not alot
