How often should you worm

My yard does the worming for us, but it seems to not be done very often, and I've no idea what wormers they use (yes I will ask!). Ok this is going to sound pretty ignorant but I was wondering how often should horses be wormed? I know you have to worm at different times for different worms and change the wormers you use, but I just wondered how often I should be expecting the yard to worm - thanks.

Tia is wormed 4 times a year with equest and equest paramox alternately.

I have used Equest and Equitape (or Equest Pramox now) for several years..every 13 weeks. Some wormers have a shorter interval and need a regime change every year or two to prevent resistance problems. As far as i am aware, this is not an issue with Equest

Ahh that might be it then they probably are wormed about every 12 weeks or so, I'll have to ask YO what she uses.

I have devised a three year worming plan for mine.

It works out that they are wormed about every two months on average, but I would ask you YO to give you a copy of the worming plan that she uses. I'd have though that you should have been given this as part of your livery contract.
