I'd like to say every time I ride, as i used to! But I don't have the time now. I get around to it about once every 3-4 weeks, unless it's very dirty or I'm going somewhere special
Every weekend unless I'm hunting in which case its cleaned before I go and when I get back and I'm usually hunting twice a week. That makes me sound very efficient when in reality I'm not at all!!!
I used to clean my bridle every time I rode and my saddle on Sunday afternoons but I have slacked a bit and now my bridle gets cleaned about 3 times a week and my saddle about once a week. I do like the look of spotlessly shiny, well cleaned tack though.
I used to clean it properly once a week, but have been a bit slack lately. I always rinse bridles off after riding though as it's getting warmer and horses are getting very sweaty.
I take mine home about once a month, take it all to bits on the kitchen floor, wash and condition and wash my girth stirrups and shiney bits in the sink, it was funny I did this on Sunday in the house not hoovered for a fortnight surrounded by mess and dirty pots! OH found quiet amusing (just aswell
)
I clean and scrub my bit after every use, dirty bits a wrong!
only before I compete and I have not competed in years.
Current excuse is my cleaning stuff is in a box somewhere in OH's garage and I refuse to buy new.
