how old do you think this little boy is?

this is my little pony a couple of years ago, i bought him from a guy who bought a load of ponies at the sales.
just wondering how old you think he was when i got him (2yrs ago)? (apologies if the pics are big)

to give you a better idea of age when we got him he was totally unhandled so i had to sit in the stable with a tub of treats to try and win him over, when he finally allowed me to touch him (give him a treat) he would suck my finger, i noticed that his front teeth were just coming through the gums!

he looks totally different now and i will post some pics of him once they upload to photobucket!

he's meant to be cob x dartmoor!
 
I would go younger and say 3 or 4 months. There is no growth on his feet and no loss of baby fluff. Looks like loadsa worms though!
 
he was also very wormy, extremely underweight, his coat was always soaking wet and the length was reaching 4"! i couldn't keep him warm and dry with the coat like that so i had to clip alot off and then i rugged him, within 2 weeks of doing that he started to gain weight and improve. i clipped him about 6 weeks after i got him.
 
i've had an EDT look at him (2 in fact), 2 vets and also a mctimoney practitioner, i've not told any of them his age or what the others have said but they have all said that he is (ageing him now) between 23 months and 25 months.

going by them dates he would have been anything between 10 days old and 6 weeks old when i got him.
i was lucky that i fell in love with him when i saw him in the pen with the others, i knew straight away that i had to have him! i was also lucky that i had a lovely caring mare who 'mothered' him although she obviously couldn't provide milk she did everything else for him, my big lad also looked out for him too and taught him a few things!

on his passport his age was 6 months, same as all the others there but he was definately alot younger than the other one we got. i love my little boy loads and he has me in stitches of laughter on a daily basis!
 
thankyou, he's only about 12.1hh (ish) but is a proper chunky monkey. he's very food orientated as well so hopefully he will be easy to teach. he's a quick learner but has bags of personality and is always causing mischief! lol
 
Blimey what a difference!!! I'd never have thought that little scrap could grow into such a stunner!! He definately looks very young when you got him, poor little mite. Thank goodness you found him.
 
I doubt very much if he was that young..but he could possibly be as you as 12/14 weeks..as i've bought stuff ..DHP'S ..that have been just 3 months old
 
NP the first pics were taken about 4 or 5 weeks after i got him, just before i clipped him out.
thanks JSR, he is a stunner now and has the personality to match! i bought another one at the same time as him who is now 4yrs old, he's got personality but unfortunately he's not a proper kids pony (at the moment), more of an experienced light weight adult!
 
i've got loads of him, i was always clicking away when we first got them just to see the change in them!
i dont' see any dartmoor in him at all but he's definately got the cob ribs and chest! lol

i'll see if i can upload anymore.
