How old does a pup have to be to do the business?

Are you talking about mating here - cos if so I know of a 7 month old GSD who mated 2 bitches within 48 hours and both had pups. I imagine a bitch can conceive at their first season, i.e. around 6 months. If you aren't referring to breeding then I apologise for lowering the tone of the thread

Mmm we have a dog and a bitch, and the vet said he doesn't need to be neutered untill 6 months, so I'm guessing after then..

Mine is 14 months and still hasn't worked out what it is for! My vet says to wait until he is more manly before chopping 'em off. We might be waiting a long time lol...he just isn't interested in that kind of thing (he's a mummys boy).

Realistically most male dogs are physically capable of reproducing at about 25 weeks of age (5.5 months) but obviously this varies x

As soon as he is fully health tested and proved a good specimen of his breed in type, temperament and working ability, and or show winning ability.
