how old is a colt before it becomes a stallion..?

weird, it says 11 twice, they must have had to type in separately for the bottom bit and the text block. But that pic is NOT of an 11yr old... and i think 11 is a bit old to be called a colt, he'd be embarrassed in front of his friends!

from the photo I would say it's 11 months

i looks alot closer to being a yearling, so i would say the 11 month option is much more likey!! just some confusion on the way.

i did consider the 11month thing when i saw it, but it specifically says '11yrs' which threw me.

if its still a colt at three years it needs a stallion licence therefore the same as a filly which at three becomes a mare, a colt becomes a stallion at three years of age.

depending on the breed because racing thoroughbred stay colts until they leave racing no matter how old
