I can see the principle of the excercise ... not sure if 2 ready built jumps , another horse and a camera woman were sensibly situated though

That's one of the most stupid things I have ever seen

I am all for 'desensitising' but that horse just looks traumatised.

Hi all!

Wow that girl can ride!! It looks like she was practising to be a mounted bride? (no puns, please!!

(In the full length clip, the horse seems to have now accepted all, and they look very good)

Daren't try it with my horse (memories of trying to put on a rustling jacket spring to mind!!

Best wishes to all, BS

Ok I've watched the video through a few times and tbh I'm not that surprised she managed to stay on. The horse continue to go forward, it didn't buck it was more lunging with every stride until it got the bottom and it done a sort of half bronc even then it was really forward and bearly dropped it's head. I would say 7/10 for stickability and 2/10 for brains she should have considered getting the horse used to plastic bags before riding with one over her head!

Have to say I am agreeing with Silverspring. The horse was lunging and kept it's head up so not so difficult to sit as the other. Having said that I probably would have come off but then I don't ride my horse carrying big plastic bags so this doesn't happen.

One time in my dim and distant past (sadly more dim than distant I think) I attempted to carry a poop scoop whilst riding.

My pony spooked, lept sideways and took off. So what did I do? I LET GO OF THE POOP SCOOP. Problem solved, pony skipped a few strides and stopped, I dismounted and carried the poop scoop by hand to the droppings.

This woman did a reasonably good job staying on her horse (although I agree he didn't really turn himself inside out or anything) but why didn't she just drop the bag the moment he started to panic?

She made a rod for her own back I think, very odd collection of videos.

She did stay on well although it didn't do anything that bad but very stupid.. note for the future if she is reading this- de-sensitise the horse on the ground in the arena with no jumps and no other horses first and use a smaller plastic bag. Poor horse could have really injured himself. I pick up plastic bags whilst on my horse but she isn't scared of them.

How often is the horse actually going to have a huge plastic bag being held/ flying above its head? It isn't very likely. Maybe a normal plastic bag stuck in a tree or something.

Words fail me: I'm absolutely furious. She stayed on because she was hanging on its mouth not because of her seat. When will people realise that doing things like this to a horse is akin to putting a tarantula down an arachnaphobe's back!!! Stupid woman.
