So here's the situation.. Due to several issues namely the weather and a hospital admission on my part, my 6 year old horsy has been off work since before Christmas. Before my collapse, he'd been in work 5 to6 days a week and was coming on quite nicely and we were even getting balanced at the canter!

Now I'm in a situation I've never been in before - He's obviously now unfit and I'm not as fit as I could be - but he hasn't been injured or anything.

THe only time that I've had horses 'off' before is due to illness or injury and therefore their exercise plan in prescribed or are true 'babies' and we go back to the basics again after being turned away...

So do I start of with a bit of walk and trot over a length of time, or back into our schooling regime over a shorter period of time...

I suppose I'll know when I get on but what would you do..?
