I cannot believe the sheer rudeness of some people. My lad was hacked out by his sharer this week when she was harassed by some loopy old woman telling her he was underweight!! (he is not) Sharer did not mince her words and told the silly old bat that the horse was fit not fat and that's the way he should be, the silly baggage said that as he's a welsh cob he should be fat???? What a weirdo.....there are some very unhinged people out there!! Turns out silly baggage is well known and not very popular as she spends most of her time at showing shows bad mouthing and making nasty comments about people's horses and ponies - what a sad and lonely life she must lead....

So it's ok to be rude about someone online - calling them 'loopy' 'weird' 'silly old bat' 'weirdo' 'unhinged' 'silly old baggage' 'sad and lonely' but not to their face?

It's a strange world :confused: :rolleyes:
 
Please post pictures so we can all make judgement - bit unfair for this woman to be slagged off without proof of pottyness ;-)
 
If you met this one - you would know exactly what I mean - I am being restrained, very restrained in what I'd really like to call her - this is a grown woman who has had a 10 year old girl in tears at a show by telling her if she wants to win to have her pony shot and get a better one.

Because I am fed up of being told what I can and can't do and how awful my lad looks - why can I not post a ranty post?? Is it because I am not a forum regular and one of the popular set?

It appears she has only told you once though? Or are you being told a lot that he is in bad condition?

If I were you I would just ignore her and not let it grind on you!

If you have been told by more than one person that your lad looks awful, don't you think thry may have a reason :confused:?

You can post what you like, but it is a public forum and therefore you may get answers you don't like or agree with. Deal with it.

So someone you know was riding out and was told your horse was underweight and should be fatter :confused: Is that really the worst thing that you have to worry about at the moment?
 
Only this one person - and what I do not appreciate is the harassment of his sharer. I can assure you he is far, far from skin and bone.

A woman who was on my yard one minute said that I should flog my overweight horse for 3 hrs a day, then accused me of starving her a few weeks later!! Lol, seriously don't let it worry you!

No, he looks in fab condition, but he is not one of the stocky old fashioned deep girthed welshies, he is tending towards the newer sportcobs! Tell your friend to ignore her. Pretend she can't see/her and trot away. It's really not worth the aggro!
 
I don't see the big deal, I've often been told similar about various horses of mine, and since I know better regarding their condition and management, I tell them to mind their own and leave it at that :rolleyes:

If you had posted that this lady regularly harassed you I would probably have sympathised & said don't let it bother you. But you said she approached your sharer on one occasion, hence the reason I commented it seems like an over reaction. I actually base my thoughts on what's written not on whether I think the poster is/isn't popular or a regular user.

I'm not worried just really irritated!!! What gives her the right to be so rude and nasty?? I think she must lead a sad life..

We all come across people in the horsey world who are like that!! The woman I mentioned was a sandwich short of a picnic to say the least - she couldn't help interfering and coming out with ridiculous and infuriating comments to everyone on the yard. Goes a long way to explaining why she had been on 4 yards in under a year!

Your horse looks fab so just let it sail over your head and let her continue to alienate herself with the local community! :)

OK I should have made my OP clearer. This woman regulary has a harassing session at shows. She is loud and brash and very nasty. Now I have to put up with it out hacking - oh great.... If she was a random one off I wouldn't have taken an awful lot of notice.

It's because I dont show, so I dont keep mine fat. He is a riding club/hacking horse, but she just has it in her head he is emaciated and yelling at my sharer on a public highway is just not on.
 
Just ignore her, horse looks fine & we all know a local someone who thinks they know best. Just say 'yeah, if you say so' & forget it.
 
So you know she is a PITA, and your sharer dealt with it at the time.

Have a rant if you wish, but HHOers say what they see, whether you like it or not ;)
 
yes but sometimes the non popular get quite a bashing, it's not just me who notices it either. I'm off the buy an ipod the silly fool won't get a response then, hopefully she'll assume I've gone deaf!!
