with a certain horse, that you'd honestly ride it 3/4/5/6/7+ times in a day if you could!
I think I've been bitten by the bug with the Grey Baby. Soon as I get off him after a session, I actually just want to get back on and do it over again and go onto trying the next thing to teach him.
He's such an easy quick learner, and honestly the easiest baby I have ever met or worked with. Been on my own up the yard today and as he's still very green, I always do him with someone on the ground atm till he's more established [and out of paranoia for me doing something wrong!] so I lunged him as normal and he was just such a chilled out boy, I thought 'Sod it, I'll get on him'. So, took him to the mounting block, gently got on him...not even a muscle twitch or change whatsoever. Just chilled. Completely chilled. Then proceeded to walk & trot, serpentines, figures of 8, circles, trot-halt-trot from voice, etc. All of which he got first time, with no questioning. He's just the biggest darling! I love him.
It's like he's read a bloody manual somewhere of 'How to be a riding horse' and just absorbed it for the past 3 years, as he's so smart and quick to learn bless him. He just genuinely loves work.
Not rushing things obviously
It's only a figure of speech...I just can't wait for it to be 6 months down the line when we'll be well on our way
He's just so lovely! I'm obsessed!
[Yes. Someone can slap me for being all soppy and silly
