How should a bit sit in a horses mouth?

Any pics of bits fitted as they should be, preferably loose ring. Any hard and fast rules for how high a bit should be in a horses mouth?

I was always told that two creases at the corner of the mouth was a good rule of thumb, however now I do it by look and feel.

orally, the bit should sit between the canines and the first cheek tooth

I always went off 2 creases too. But really you just have too look at how comfortable the horse is with that and what type of mouthpiece it is.

With loose ring, also put rubber bit guards on so it doesn't pinch.

When riding and applying pressure or pulling back on the reins, the cheek pieces should not fold away from the horses face if you know what i mean
