I bought a second hand tweed jacket which at a guess is about a size 10 whereas I normally take a size 6. I am taking it in tomorrow to get altered but just want to double check how they should fit for showing before hand. I've posted a pic of me in it, it's not great but you can get the idea that it just looks overall a bit big!

Yes it looks a little on the large side. You look to have a tiny waist under the jacket, nicely tailored it would look great.

That's what I'm hoping, it was much too long so mum did a botch job and turned it up but didn't have time to do anything else!

Also does anyone who has had something similar done before have a rough idea of how much it might cost?

Well I took my jacket in to get altered and it was going to be the wrong side of £100 *gulp* and still not a very good fit so it's off to ride away to try on for size and then see what I can find online!

Thank you EKW for the suggestion of the maids sizes will give those a try too! Liking the look if the shires brown herringbone

( the one I have is the shires green check)

Any other suggestions?
