How should he be turned out?

Hi ya I’m taking my gelded Lipizzaner yearling to a youngstock inhand class for all breeds in July, I have contacted the secretary and asked her how he should be turn out, but unfortunately she didn’t know the etiquette for Lipizzaners. She knows they should be plaited but she was unsure whether the tail should be pulled, plaited or left natural. She said I should check out their website to see if there is any info on their website but I had no luck.

Would anyone be able to shed some light on this or would know where I be able to find this out?

In a mixed breed youngstock class you plait and do not turn out as per your breed standard so this can include the tail.

I don't know what the breed standard turnout is for your breed of horse but before pulling the tail I would find out.

The easiest thing would be to plait the tail so as you have a full tail if required for your breed if you wish to do breed specific classes in the future.

If it is a local level show and you can't plait a tail - bandage in a way so it looks like more pulled than wild an bushy without actually pulling.
 
I think I'd show him naturally to be honest, does he have a vast amount of mane already or is he still too young as it would definitely look daft if he has lots of mane and you tried to plait it without pulling it which I personally wouldn't want to do anyway. Good luck
