How soon to bed on shavings?

Our foal is 3 weeks old and thriving

However, our entire family is allergic to straw and we're drawing lots for who will do their straw bed!

There is rubber matting on the floor but I'd still put down a full bed of shavings so that the little one was encouraged to lie down. When do you think it is Ok to move them onto a shavings bed in the foaling box?

Honestly, no problems at all, it's only during foaling when they stick to everything that they're a pain so aren't used very much then.
