Hi, strange question, my horse is sound as far as I can see on hard surface, menage circles etc. the only time i notice some unlevelness is when we turn tightly going round a corner on our yard that also has a downhill slope. He seems to go a little short in front on the loaded leg if that makes sense. Its also a little slippery so this may make him more cautious of course. I was just wondering if this was a sign of pain or if its just a horse going round a tight bend on uneven hard ground???

I read on here that a high % of horses (like 90% maybe ) are 1/10 lame! If he's 100% fine in all other ways I wud think its ok but go with ur gut!

Hey guys thanks for replies. I have noticed my other horse doing similar before too, but he seems to do it less these days than he did. I dont know if maybe its the slope and the fact the concrete can be a bit slippy that makes it appear unlevel maybe?? I will try and video it but today my horse is poorly due to an injection reaction he had causing a severely swollen hind end, so no walking for him for a few days!

This can be a classic symptom of bilateral lameness in the front feet. Nerve blocking 1 foot will result in very noticeable lameness in the opposite foot - not noticeable otherwise because they both hurt the same amount. My veteran Highland x developed this and the cause was severe djd.
