How strange. Should i be worried?

I think you are picking on the op she is young and was searching for the correct word to describe this man and didnt want to come across as unpc.

Back to the question in hand should I be worried the, answer to that is no, you have done all the right things taken his reg. and it would do no harm to pass on to the local police.
 
I wouldn't worry. Sounds like his lady friend wants a horse.
Anyway, about the way he spoke, there is a real trend for youngsters to talk in that manner now! My cousin of the same age, background and race as me now talks exactly like that :p
 
Actually his colour IS important as its a distinguishing feature and potentially someone else in the area might have experienced something similar recently.

I would be very worried about not having a padlock on the fence, but not about this man particularly xx
 
TBH I don't think the OP was worried because of the guys race but worried because some stranger was asking lots of questions about her horse.

OP get a padlock as soon as you can, we have a huge one on our gate which apparently is unbreakable which gives me a great peace of mind. :)

No, loads of people ask funny questions about horses ALL the flippin' time... I'm sure if it was a regular little white girl asking the same questions, OP would not have batted an eyelid.

Anyway, whatever, whoever, I think all horses should be secure especially those exposed to public access if you care that much about them.

OP, you ARE right to worry but next time weigh things up rationally before posting, lots of people on here waiting to pick holes in your complaint. Especially as it contains perceived racial issues.

we have public footpaths running through the farm where i livery, people using them seem to think it's perfectly acceptable to wander around the farm poking their noses over people gates and looking at the horses:mad: Because some of us have had stuff taken before we're all a bit suspicious of anyone nosing around, no matter what colour/race/religion they are, and if they started asking lots of questions then there's a few on the farm who would be spending the night hidden in their stable with a shotgun!
 
There was me thinking a thread ran like a conversation - and like a conversation (unless you are an odd control freak) threads tend to go off on tangents and meander back and fore from the point.... or are we only allowed to discuss one subject per thread?? I don't think the OP was being racist, not does my reply suggest I thought she was - rather that we were having a small splinter conversation about how people describe races...

Jeez there are more self imposed rules here than school!!!
 
Three of our horses are in a field by a car park, with foortpsths through.
People are always stopping and petting them (and feeding them ggrrr)
We are always being stopped and asked questions about them, how old are they? how big are they? what are their names, whats that thing hanging down under that one :D? REALY? wow, thats big init!! How much do horse cost? etc, etc.........
Agree though get your gates sorted out asp and get them locked!
We have two kissing gates for walkers, and never have problems with them, i think councils prefere them now to styles.
