How strange

I have just been offered a really lovely mare on loan and if i didn't have a horse already she would be exactly what i would be looking for (still quite tempted as its a loan).

But the strange thing is i was emailed it

I haven't put up any wanted ads and i dont know the person in question??

Wasn't any of you was it LOL

But i cant see how, the horse is only for loan and they left a phone number

I just emailed back saying thanks but no thanks and asked how they got my details.

That is strange - perhaps if you've been putting the feelers out somebody mentioned you and they forgot to put that in their email....is a bit strange though!

I dont give my email out to anyone though, it is only used for things like when i advertised my horse and ebay etc.

I am stumped

Possibly but it has been competing upto intermediate novice in eventing and has won £800 BSJA so cant be that bad.

I haven't got the time or money for another anyway so wont get to find out.

Ermm is a strange one, my first thoughts were con, but as you say its only on loan. yo dont think its a company that have picked up e-mails off of prior adverts that you have put in i.e. your ad to sell your horse then 6 months later say they contact them on the off chance they are looking for a horse?
Might just be like cold calling.
Shame you dont have the money to find out how good it is though x
