How tall is 156cm in hands?

Sorry for the daft question, but i don't work well in cm's! Just measured my mare and she's 156 and a bit cm.. so what is that in hands?

If it is 156 cm it is 1560mm . Divide by 25.4 to convert to inches. Divide the number of inches by 4 ( 4 inch = 1 hand) this gives a whole number for number of hands. Take away the number of hands to leave the small decimal . Times this by 4 for the last fraction of a hand.

That's a wee bit confusing! Google says 158 is 15.2 so i'm saying she's about 15.1 and a bit ;P (just because that little bit makes all the difference!)

Just looked on bs conversion chart & 155.9cm is 15.1h & 3/8in

156.2cm is 15.1 & 1/2in

Its 15h3.5 so right in between 15h3 and 16h.

On a calculator divide 156 by 2.54 (changes the cm to inches) and then divide that answer by 4 to give it in hands high.
