get shavings out of a car carpet???!!!

just 'borrowed' the works pool car (happens to be a brand new Jaguar estate) to go and get some more shavings (re my other post earlier about shavings rant!) (my car is a little shed on wheels and i only get one bale in at a time!!)

the helpful b*ggers just so happened to squeeze four bales of snowflake shavings into the car- but all the bags were alreadt ripped!!!

only realised when i went to take them out at the yard

anyone know a quick method of removing these shavings from the brand spanking new carpet before i get the sack!!!

Dandy brush? Or similar stiff brush, combined with a good vacuum?

I vacumm cleaner combined with a strong wire brush worked on mine!

OMG, dunno, I just leave mine there to cover up the other stuff, like grit, crunchie wrappers, parking tickets, etc. etc.

Hope you manage to do it. I dont think even I would have the nerve to get shavings in the works Jag!!!!

well i thought it would make sense otherwise i have to make 4 trips in my own car and during lunch hour- impossible!

my car is a total mess and i really dont mind about the shavings in it- OH would say otherwise!!

im going to go down the waterbrush route as i dont have a vacumm cleaner

use sticky tape wrapped sticky side out round your hand-it works on shavings/ horse hair- allsorts!
