How tight should a breastgirth fit?

Well I won the breastgirth on ebay!

How tight do they need to fit?? As I spose they need to be able to stretch.

Should you beable to get a hand underneath??

The saddler told me you should be able to fit two fingers underneath it - not too tight to restrict movement, but there still to act as a slippage support

i have been told you should be able to squeeze in a fist right at the front, gives enough for the saddle to go slightly if you have put it on a little far forward, and gives room for shoulder movement
