How to avoid getting scammed out of money when buying a saddle?

Hi,

I've put some wanted ads up for a saddle and someone has got back to me with one that I am looking for at a good price and sent me pictures. The only thing is, how do I know i'm not going to be scammed out of money, I don't want to pay for it then no saddle arrives! Or am I bad for thinking that there are no genuine people out there?!

If anyone has any advice on what to do i'd really appreciate it!

The saddle I bought with my horse had a snapped tree luckily I had the saddler up to check it before it caused any damage. Second saddle was bought from said saddler! Morale of my story - get someone to check it for u!
