I have "inherited" a hideous suede effect synthetic saddle (sorry, I just hate it, it's really cheap and nasty! :o) with my new pony. It is looking quite dusty and I was wondering how to clean it. Can any of you lovely folks give me some advice?

You can get special cleaners - but you don't really need them.

First with a stiff shoe brush remove all the loose duat and dirt. Then with some warm water and a little washing up liquid or better still some liquid wool wash, scrub and rinse, scrub and rinse and then wipe excess water off and leave somewhere comfortably warm to dry - not in front of the fire or on a radiator - brush to bring up the nap again.
