how to clean up paddock pooing places?

I do poo-pick regularly but my paddocks (well, not mine - YO's) had traditional pooing places when I took them over. So even when the rest of the grass is only a couple of millimetres high those bits stay green and lush. Is there any way to make them nice and tasty again?

I have the same problem.. only thing I can think of is putting carrots chopped up in those places? But I've never tried it lol xxxxxxx

A friend of mine regularly mows the poo patches (picking up the cut bits). It seems to work but it cant taste very nice when the grass is smelling/tasting of pee!!!!!!!!!!!

We have the same problem. What does help is that when the friendly neighbouring farmer trims my hedges in the autumn, he then puts the hedgeclipper into the horizontal position and 'mows' my poo patches really short. And sometimes I do it with the lawnmower (to OH's fury!). But it definitely seems to encourage the gees to eat over it when the new grass grows.

My mum used to mow all the patches but one, it does work and the mown bits for some reason grow back 'ok' and they just stick to the one patch!

either top or strim the long grass off. collect the cuttings if you dont have another paddock to put them in to. ideally wehn you rest the paddock strim/top off the long bits, rest then keep the grazing clean.

we poo pick then mow them (with a box ont he back to collect the trimmings) a couple fo times early in the year and that seems to do the trick.
