my mare rubs her nose in the blood root ointment?

ok so my mare had a couple of sarcoids on her chest and the blood root did the job but cause she has to put her nose everywhere she got it all over her nose causing her to look like a burn victim with scabs all over her nose and bits of skin falling off. i dont know how i can cover them up or stop her from messing with them because they have come up again this year and are getting worse but i dont want to cause her any pain again what can i do?

how about a light weight rug over them (with the ointment) or a bib?

Either that or duck tape a menolin pad on the top - no good in the wet though

(Oh and duck tape will stick,but is not easy to get off)

What about a rug covering them, if they are on her chest? Or as a last resort, a muzzle? Could yout 'train' her not to bite her chest by putting something like chilli paste or something similar, like the crib biting stuff, that will put her off biting her chest? Apply this a few days before treatment, so that when you start she won't bite? Ibought a equine bandage kit a few years ago at a show, which has theses plaster like things in that grip the horses coat like human plasters sort of... though she'd probably pull something like that off...
