As per title! Thank you in advance!

My mare had a bald patch on her mane from her rug rubbing so I massaged coconut oil into the roots a couple of times a week. It probably helped that I did this over spring but she now has about 4-5 inches of growth and it’s really soft!

The best thing I've found for a thicker tail is to stop brushing it. No matter how careful I am when grooming hair comes out. Since I stopped doing it, it's got really thick. It should be the same for the mane.

Assuming you are talking about a spotty genetics type mane rather than rubbed out....why would you want to?! It's the perfect zero maintenance setup.

After years of having to put effort into keeping horses looking tidy, I think having a horse that grows no mane, no feathers and very little coat is an absolute dream :D

No, I want a thicker/longer mane because I've got a mental age of about six and think it looks amazing  like a rapunzel pony! ;)
Also, she is attacked by flies and I think it would be better protection... she has almost no forelock, though, it's totally out of proportion with the rest of her.
She grows feathers in winter too though, and it takes me half an hour to brush out her tail now because it's down to the floor and I'm loath to trim it. I love it! :D

It doesn't really make much difference to the flies, a thick mane can get very hot in the summer and full of mud in the winter, a long tail is useful against flies I let mine grow long in summer, but is not comfortable in winter when it becomes wet and heavy, mine get cut short before winter and very much appreciate not dragging the extra weight.

It's going to be cut before winter! Definitely.

You can't do much really.
It's genetically decided for how long a hair will grow. When the time is up, the hair will "die", you can't feed or wash you to a genetic change.
What you can do is take good care not to break the hair "before its time" when grooming and make sure the horse is covered when it comes to vitamins, minerals etc so the hair is as strong as possible.
But you can not get a horse, that is genetically disposed to no/short/thin mane to suddenly grow a friesian type mane. No product can do that for you, no matter what they claim. And same goes for the typical tiny warmblood forelock.

I have used megatek on my arabs but its not cheap I do use another product called wonder gel which claims to help hair growth so I do rub that into the base of the mane and fore lock and I think it does help, as for the tails mine constantly live in tail bags as they drag on the floor so they would get filthy and I find it keeps the tail fuller.

I think with a big white tail like that it would be having a wash then I would put in a tail bag on it especially for the winter its stops it going yellow and the tail will stay more intact:)

I never brush my horses manes or tails it just pulls the hair out.
