how to encourage Ned to use new treat ball?

Got my girl a treat ball a couple of weeks ago, popped some fibre cubes in it and rolled it around in front of her. She worked out there was food on the go but seemed to think it was coming from me. I left her to it but I've never noticed her playing with it (and cube amount never goes down) though it did end up in her feed bucket one night and I'm still not sure how??
Am going to try putting chunks of carrot in it to see if she notices them falling out of it a bit clearer. But otherwise I'm a tad stumped as to how to encourage her to use it.
Any tips? X

Try the carrotts, my lot cottoned on so quick with grass nuts in, I got sick of the banging against walls and took it off them, when my field dries out they can play with it in there

Mine doesn't really get his either so not much help I'm afraid. Odd because he's a clever chap otherwise!
