How to find specific type of livery person? (also in CR)

Friend of mine has her own farm with just her horses on it.
Fantastic facilities with huge outdoor and small by nice indoor. Loads of hacking around farm for fittening work and good hacking off farm. Space to store lorry etc.

She is finding it quite difficult to keep motivated for competing BD,BE and BS as on her own there. So I suggested she got a livery who was out competing regularly.
She liked the idea but then asked how to go about finding such a livery.
Er um er - no idea, I'll ask the nice peeps on HHO

So how do we go about finding such a person as really want someone competing affiliated level?
 
Advertise at local BE events you know card at secretary's like people do with horses for sale.
Ask around local trainers who are teaching BE people just generally put the word about I don't think with those facilities it will be hard to find someone.
 
My friend and I were invited to move onto a new yard by the owners. They asked the Manager at the local feed merchants (quite a large business) if she knew of anybody that would be suitable, as they were looking for a certain type of livery and she recommended us.
We went to meet them and look around the Yard, loved it, moved and have never been happier.
If you have a local feed merchants or tack shop it might be worth them doing likewise, it certainly worked for our new YO.
 
Just a suggestion: but maybe you as well as could look for someone who's training/competing just BELOW the level you're seeking??? That way, that will firstly open up your field a bit but also it just maybe that someone is out there who'd be ideal, and isn't yet affiliated, with are working hard towards it and will soon be at that level??

I say this because I'm lucky enough to have the perfect livery; when she came to us she wasn't affiliated, but now is, and is doing very well - so it might be that you could, as it were, look "down" a level and see who's around?? That way, they could "compete up" when they get to you!!

Just a suggestion.
 
Thanks peeps, great suggestions so far. I'm making list of all of them.

This wasn't a problem when I competed Juno as I was there everyday but now only see the person when I go over to teach her.
 
She could also just say in the advert that she is looking for someone who will be competing at a similar level so that they can provide mutual support/share transport etc.

I would have thought with such good facilities she'll have no trouble.

I'd agree with looking for someone maybe a little bit below. Advertise at competition venues, feed merchants, tack shops and on the BE/BD/BS websites/forums/magazines. Might also be worth trying the newsletter of local hunts (lots of hunters compete too and if they don't they might know someone) and the local RC/PC, a higher level club rider might fit the bill.

Word of mouth is pretty powerful too.
