Could anyone help me?

I have bought the bit and the cheek pieces but when fitting them, if I have the bit in the mouth in the right place (like a snaffle), it is sitting at the bottom of the cheek pieces, giving no length for the cheek pieces to 'run'. It is then catching on the wider piece of leater at the bottom of the cheek piece, where the rein ring is attached too.

The horse has quite a fine head and is in a cob size bridle, so am just wondering if the cheek pieces are too long, but they all seem to come in 'one size'.

Hope that makes sense?!

I think I can picture what you mean because the same thing happened to me and I seem to remember using martingale stops as a short term measure to keep bit in the right place.

Does the bit not have stoppers on either side? Like attached pic? Do the cheek pieces come undone? If so you can get some stoppers for them. Otherwise I don't really know.

Thanks for replying - no there are no 'stoppers' on the cheekpiece or bit. I have seen some nylon ones similiar to the photo you have posted, which do have stoppers, so may have to look at getting some.
