This happened to me. I had a kind, sympathetic and discreet friend metaphorically hold my hand for a couple of weeks. What you’re going through is totally natural and something nearly all of us have experienced more than once. Just take your time, don’t allow anyone to push you to do anything you’re not ready for and breathe deeply, drop those shoulders and smile. I know it sounds stupid to say smile but it helps with the nerves.

You have my sympathy. As has already been said, we’ve all been there! A quick tip from me is to make sure you’re always looking ahead( I have a tendency to look down and looking ahead really helps to change focus) , and imagine ‘ breathing ’through your feet in the stirrups. You will get there 😊
