Well as its nearly hunting season, i would like to get someone out to plait my horse prior to the meet - i HATE plaiting!! x Does anyone know of anyone who would do this, Gloucester area. It might be that i have to give someone at the yard a tenner to do it but need someone who is capable enough to handle my horse as he can be a bit of a menace!! x I'm sure i could get upto 4 people on the yard to also have there horses done to make it worth their while! x

If the person wasnt massively capable, but ok with my horse, they could always plait him whilst i'm doing other jobs so i'd still be around.

The only downside to hunting :O( x

How much would you say is reasonable to plait a horse? and how long would you expect it to take? x

I've plaited for people in the past, and would say £10 minimum for a well prepared mane on a well behaved horse. Expect to pay more if the mane is long/thick/not well prepared, and the horse is a pain to do.

If I had to travel to do it, £15.

In the cold, plaiting can really hurt hands and fingers don't forget!

Haha, main reason i dont want to! Although my stable is quite sheltered this year! x His mane is perfect to plait, i have to do it for dressage comps but still takes me 45minutes! I cant even plait the night before cuz he destroys them....until you have any handy hints?! x

15 is fair if someone has to travel as it has to be worth while x
