How to get into "working" dogs?

I have a very lively 1 1/2 years cocker spaniel. We do agility and basic obedience training (hes done his Kennel club bronze).

Someone has said that i should try "working" him and i`d love to try something like this but havent got the first clue how to start so would appriciate any ideas as havent got a clue

Id say talk to your local game keeper and see what advice they can give you!
If you know anyone with a working cocker or spaniel of any kind, or just a gun dog of any sort then have a natter to them too.....
Or just go to a shoot and ask people! (just not whilst they are shooting!)
 
Have a look on uk gundogs, they have lots of trainers listed in different areas. This would be my first port of call for training & then go find a game keeper re getting out & working it, though your trainer will be able to help with that too!

Most important is to remember to have fun!
 
There may well be a gundog club in your area - if you can find your nearest, ring the secretary and have a chat with him/her or contact BASC and ask them.
