Just wondered how everyone on here gets rid of there horse manure?
Do you have a muck heap?

We Bag are 3's everyday (there out 24/7) and put it at the end of the drive and passers by take it for gardens and alotments.

Mine are out 24/7 and we pile it up and some people come and take it for their gardens.
At work the field poo is either chucked in the hedge or piled up and the local farmer takes it with the muck heap.

I have one horse that is in for about 18 - 20 hours every day, so we get quite a bit out of his stable every week. The companion pony is out most of the time but stabled during the worst weather.

We use paper bedding and muck out into old plastic feeds bags (eg Dengie) and then empty it at the furtherst point away in the field. Every month we burn it so it reduces in size by about 80%. Every year we spread it back on the field in the Autumn.

I have two horses that are out 24/7.

I have stuffed 3 barrow loads of poo down a bloody rabbit hole I found at the edge of the field today! (I will stop the buggers from entering my field! lol)

Normally I chuck it into the muck heap and the chickens have a field day in it.

When I first started to rent the land off the Farm Estate, they asked what I would do with it all and I told them I would arrange for it to all be dug out each year by one of the farmers.

I haven't once had to have any of it removed, it all disappears!

The Estate gardens and the workers veggie patches do look very healthy each year though!

In fact I'm sure there must be lots of pixies on the Estate, as when I arrived tonight my stable was full of neatly stacked hay bales!

occasionally pay a farmer take it away as we have to much

At one yard we stuck a sign out for it,free manure,we started bagging it but it was going like hotcakes, lol,we ran out of bags sooo we stuck a donation box out so we could buy more, didnt think it would work but it did, within 2 weeks we had enuff to buy 2 crates of lager, lmao!!It was pure poo off the field though,in the end a guy from an allotment brought his trailer up for us to fill all the time, worked out well!!!They love pure poo

The one field I have has a little wooded area in it. It's on a bit of a slope and I worry sick that the neds might put a hoof down one of the holes. The rabbits soon buggered off when I started chucking the poo down their holes. I've never had them dig it back out.

The head gardener on the Estate as had the pesky things dig on the main lawn. He was most upset! lol A couple of loads of poo later and they have buggered back off to the cows field!
