How to get to shows ..

I'd save up each week until i can afford to rent a box. Not ideal i know. Sorry, not much help.

You have my sympathy. I have a car that tows but there aren't even any shows here, I like a bit of healthy competition. There are no fun rides, no local shows other than the 'showing' shows (where they do 'andadura', which is basically trotting), or show jumping competitions which are a bit high brow!

I would move to a yard that holds shows or is within hacking distance of somewhere that does.

Shes not ridden yet is a tad naughty when on the roads so hackings a no-go and i cant move :/

I have the same problem! It sucks! I just save up until I can afford the box for the day, takes a bloody age mind...but definatly worth it in the end! If your any where near Cambs pm me! V

why don't you advertise in local tack shops and online, there might be someone else local who is having the same prob, at least then you could share travel costs. other than that im with everyone else, you'll just have to save up

Pity you haven,t got a friend with transport, i take a younger friend with me to shows she pulls her weight by paying for an entry or two and company for the day.

I'd try advertsing for a like minded person who has a trailer or box who would be willing to take you and split travel costs and help each other out/give moral support!

i would also try advertising in local tack shops to share transport etc good luck i know how you feel i use to be only able to go to one show a year and that was about a 2 hour hack away then after 3 years of this my dad got me a horse trailer you will get one eventually
