It's growing quite well at the moment but its all different lengths and really thin, I've been using mane and tail and just rubbing it in and not brushing it because it pulls a lot out but it's doing good at the moment and has grown abit. But is there anything else which actually works? Thanks!! :D

The quickest way I've ever found to make them grow is (god forbid) trim the ends off regularly, which encourages growth.

Do you have barbed wire? as if you do, trying to have nice long manes is hopeless.

The other thing you can do is put the mane in plaits to help protect it. Comb it only when you really need too, and use plenty of mane and tail conditioner when you do.

Good Luck!

I am currently growing out my boys mane, I rub in Mega-Tek Rebuilder two/three times a week and leave it in. I also give him Biotin and Flax Seed Oil in his feed which has helped to promote his mane growth. So far all of this seems to be working really well!!
Hope this helps :D

You have to treat the follicles I.e. with mega tek to ensure the hair has what it needs.

Then you need to protect the growth. Plaiting the hair helps to prevent it snagging. Also don't brush everyday.

The big difference came for me when I started putting my boys mane in mane bags. Protect against dirt and damage from reins when riding and other stuff.

My boy has a mane to his knees now. I need to take some new pics.
