How to halter train?

Hello!
I have a foal and would like to start training as soon as possible. I would puke to know the best ways to halter train and about when is the best time. My foal is only a couple days old and plan on waiting awhile but i am no trainer.

Do you have an experienced breeder that could visit your mare and foal to teach you things in person?

Thank you I will get that book. Unfortunately there are no breeders beer us.but my uncle breeds horses but I don’t think he halter breaks them.

You can quietly pop a halter on but please dont pull on it at all as everything is still very soft, purely to let foal get the feel of it.
At such a young age, I prefer to use a tea towel round their neck and a steadying hand on the quarters to guide.
Get yourself a good guide on line or a book as mentioned above.
