How to keep your horse amused in the stable...

Make them go apple bobbing! Put two or three apples in his/her water bucket! Absolutely hilarious - it took Ellie six minutes (I was timing!) to manage to grab hold of her first one, though once she'd got the hang of it she was quite quick to get the next ones! She actually puts her nose right in the water; hilarious to watch, but it wasnt worth taking a pic as to all intents and purposes, she just looked like she was drinking!

Might be a nice cheap alternative to buying hundreds of Likits when she's stuck in through the winter!

drill a hole suede and hang it in the middle of the stable so they cant pin it up against a wall to eat it

Now my boy Mickey used to love swede....no matter how high or far away from the wall I hung it, he could always grab a hold of it! It was so cute to watch him, he just adored it! Ellie isnt interested in swedes, however

I do this with Jim - He tries to drink the water first to get the apples and then just pushes them to the bottom and grabs hold!!

I tried the apple bobbing thing, Ed just tipped his bucket upside down and ate the apples and Stylo kept shoving the whole of his face in the water and got rather freaked out at himself, weirdo.

Might have to try the apple bobbing and swede idea - sizzle gets bored easily although to be honest he'll probably just scare the cr*p out of himself!
