Today we turned out my new boy with a mare on the yard.
They are stabled beside each other, so "knew" each other first!

After a lot of cantering in the field (my horse is now called Billy the Rotavator) they settled and eating side by side :D
So I went up to bring them in (well, we leave the gate open, so they come and go as they please)

This is how I found them:

:p It was like an old couple!

I think they evidently like each other! Isn't it wonderful when your horsie has a friend too :) they're just as social as we are, if not more.

It's so nice & such a relief when they find a friend like that.. I went from a yard where my boy was right at the bottom of the pecking order & scared of all the others to a yard where he gets on with all the others, plays with them all day & the others even all run up the field to see him when I put him out..such a relief!!

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww that piccie so made me smile how beautiful - my baby's best mate stands with his head over her neck it so brings a tear to eye they are so in luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv lol :) x
