Pony seemed a bit full of the joys of spring this morning but behaved impeccably with small daughter on board although clearly would like to have pinged about a bit, end of session got daughter off and all walking back across field waving to neighbour , pony on loose lead rein. Naughty pony suddenly fly bucks and spins catching me totally off guard, i lose my footing and literally full length face plant in thick mud. Jump up pretending nothing happened to find daughter neighbour and pony looking on in great amusement and a little surprised ! Trying to save face while plastered in mud is tricky.

Hahaha - more of these light hearted funny stories please forum peeps! :D
It's nice to balance out the worries and woes with some chickens & positivity I think! :)

Haha that made me laugh!

My almost 4 year old sons shetland made me look like an eejit in front of him not long ago. We went to the field to get her so I could lunge her and he led her in quite the thing, she was good as gold. She is very well behaved on the lunge and I like to keep on top of lunging her as we progress to long lining, so my son watched while we got started, and pony done a huge bronc and sped off round the school with me clinging on for dear life!

The icing on the cake was the small voice shouting "Mummy, get her head up! Don't let her do that! That's my pony and she won't get a carrot if you let her do that!"

I decided a lunging session was in order after that, been avoiding as only have the field and it is a bit soggy but the flatters driest part was ok. He obviously needed it as he bucked and motorbiked with great enjoyment. I nearly pony surfed with him on several occasions. Daughter thought it looked great and asked if she can do that on him !!!! - um, no I'd really rather they didn't !

I miss being a kid with no fear who would get on anything - the wilder the better! Now it's my turn to suffer nervous wrecks as my son does all that!
